2016 Food Safety Summit

Did you know that drains can contribute to up to 30% of total bacteria contamination risk within a food preparation area? Drainage is a critical component affecting the hygienic performance of food production. Effective, hygienically designed drainage systems help mitigate hazards from the external environment and are central to safe and sanitary food production. The safety of all food products must be supported by carefully selected ingredients, validated and verified processes, quality assurance systems, competent trained staff and also by the hygienic design of premises and equipment used during the manufacturing of these products.

We presented on Wednesday, May 11 at 4:15 pm at the Solution Stage at the 2016 Food Safety Summit to discuss this important topic by Mark Haydon. Mark is the Strategic Manager for Building Drainage at ACO Polymer Products, Inc.
